Possible Temporary/Permanent Review Process

When it comes to reviews, there are generally two types:
  • Temporary Reviews: Written while the reviewer wants to get word out as fast as they possibly can about what they currently think about the game after only a short time playing it.
  • Permanent Reviews: Written once the reviewer's had time to completely analyze the game to their own personal satisfaction.
Once a permanent review is written, the temporary review is locked and the permanent review takes its place.

So in essence, reviewers get two chances to write a review for a game. Once when they've played enough to form a decent first impression, and another once they're ready to solidify that opinion. This can technically be simulated as-is with the current system. A reviewer writes a review, calling it a "First Impressions" review, and then later abandons it for a "full" review. The question is whether or not to implement a system where a temporary review MUST be written and published (and a significant amount of time had passed, presumably so you have more time to play the game) before you can write and publish a "permanent" review.
