Reviewer Integrity and Review Credibility

All reviewers have an "integrity rating" which starts at 100 (and cannot go any higher).

Various actions can change a reviewer's integrity rating.
For example, if a reviewer is found to be lying, the review containing the lie will be retracted and the liar may have their integrity rating lowered.

The "credibility" of a review is initially the average user approval for the review.
  • If the approval rating for a review is positive, it is multiplied by (integrity)%
  • If the approval rating for a review is negative, it's multiplied by (100 + (100 - integrity))%
This means if the reviewer's integrity rating is reduced to 50...
  • ...positive-average approval rated reviews will have that average reduced by half, and
  • ...negative-average approval rated reviews will have that average amplified by half
